| This year marks the 18th year Repertory Children’s Theatre. It was in 1972 when Joy Virata first started her concept of the Theater For Young Audiences. Now it has grown into a veritable educational vehicle for children to be exposed to live theatre an early age. For it's Children's Theatre offering, Repertory Philippines brings back SLEEPING BEAUTY—RCT’s first show at the William J. Shaw Theatre. Director Joy Virata is backed up by a strong production team, with Gino Gonzales executing sets and costumes and John Batalla for lights. REP maintains two groups of eight singers who are available for special after-dinner entertainment, product launches, or other corporate affairs. One group is composed of veteran, professional solo performers; the other, of talented, young, up-and-coming singers. The program features show-stopping performances of show-tune medleys arranged for solos, duets, and octets with simple choreography.
